Grandfather pleads guilty in local toddler’s Puerto Rico cruise ship death

The grandfather of a local toddler, who died after falling out the window of a cruise ship, has pleaded guilty to negligent homicide in Puerto Rico. Salvatore Anello said earlier that he would drop a not-guilty plea to help end what he called “this nightmare” for his family. 18-month-old Chloe Wiegand slipped from his grasp and fell about 150 feet from an open window last year. Anello will be sentenced in Puerto Rico in December.
