Arkansas limits hours at restaurants, bars to slow virus

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Thursday ordered restaurants, bars, and other businesses licensed to sell alcoholic beverages to close by 11 p. m. to slow the spread of the coronavirus. The directive takes effect Friday and continues through Jan 3. It comes amid a surge in new cases and hospitalizations. Hutchinson said in a news released that a panel of physicians, healthcare executives, and elected officials recommended the directive.
